We grow Peri & Sons Farms’ famous white onions in a wide–range of sizes — from beautiful colossal–size onions to small, hearty boiler onions — and all are hand–picked and hand–sorted to meet our rigid standards for quality, taste and visual appeal.
Our specially–grown white onions have a firm, pearl–white, paper–dry, shiny skin and a sweet, mild white flesh. They have a slightly–higher water content than yellow onions, so they are somewhat sweeter and, if properly stored in the right environmental conditions, they will store for up to a year.
White onions have become the onion–of–choice for classic Hispanic cuisine and when sautéed they turn a light golden color. Their clean, tangy flavor makes them popular in a wide variety of flavorful, spicy dishes from all around the world.
