Growth Rooted in Nevada
Even though Peri & Sons now farms thousands of acres, it is still basically the same hands-on family farm that it was when David began farming that first 100-acre field over 35 years ago. Through hard work, dedication and perseverance, we’ve had the good fortune of building a successful farm business that produces over 350 million pounds of onions each year.

Walker River CoolingGrowing Better Together
Since 2008 Peri & Son Farms and The Nunes Company, one of the nation’s largest grower/shippers of organic fresh produce marketed under the Foxy organic brand name, have been working together to grow and market a variety of organic leafy greens and vegetables in Yerington, Nevada. The farming project that began with just 16 acres, is today a booming business that produces more than 25 million pounds of organic baby greens and 40 million pounds of organic fresh vegetables.

Due to the phenomenal success these two companies have shared, they recently joined forces to build Walker River Cooling, a state-of-the-art cooling and distribution facility in Yerington. Walker River Cooling began operations in May 2017. The official ribbon-cutting event was held August 29, 2017 and was attended by Nevada Governor Brain Sandoval and other state and local officials. The 10,000 square foot facility is the first of its kind in Nevada and changes the face of one of the largest commercial produce growers in the State.
