Peri & Sons Farms
Re-Generation
Today’s family-farming business is far more complex than anyone would have envisioned back in 1902, when David Peri’s grandfather emigrated from Italy and started a small farm in Lockwood, Nevada with his brothers. As years passed, the original Peri farm continued to be worked and improved by David’s father and uncle, the second generation of Peri’s. Modern times brought changes, and as the third generation of Peri’s came of age, expectations and opportunities changed too.

While his siblings pursued other interests, David knew from a very early age that farming was his singular passion. Immediately after graduating high school he followed his heart and set out on a course to build a farming operation, not too far away, in Yerington, Nevada. With single-minded determination, an innate aptitude for business, a mechanically-inclined mind and a staunch work ethic, David forged ahead undeterred to build Peri & Sons Farms.

Today a fourth generation of Peri’s, David’s children, are hard at work and fully involved in various aspects of the family’s farm business. Although the fifth generation is still a bit too young to help out on the farm, chances are they’ve inherited the same love-of-the-land and passion for farming that motivated the first generation of Peri farmers more than a century ago.
