Crispy Mozzarella American Flag Appetizer with Sweet Onions

Ingredients
Shredded mozzarella cheese
1 large sweet onion, sliced into rings and cut in half
1 large tomato, sliced into rounds and cut in half
Additional mozzarella cheese, cut into small star shapes

Directions
Preheat the oven to 480°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Spread the shredded mozzarella evenly over the prepared baking sheet.
Arrange the Peri & Sons sweet onion halves and tomato halves in alternating rows to create an American flag design.
Cut small stars from mozzarella cheese and place them in the upper left corner of the flag.
Bake for 18–20 minutes, or until the cheese is golden brown and crispy.
Allow the appetizer to cool slightly before slicing and serving.
