Keeping Our Food Safe
Every onion on our farm is grown, packed and shipped in a responsible and traceable way. We understand that growing fresh produce comes with enormous social responsibility and we take that very seriously -- from the very top of the company on down.

In order to meet these responsibilities we have a dedicated food-safety department. The mission and program were originally put into place by Pamela Peri back in 1999 -- long before food safety was a widely-accepted practice. The longevity of our food safety practice has contributed greatly to our success because strong food safety practices can’t be properly incorporated into a large company overnight. We now have a full-time team of professionals who are highly-trained in food safety and organic certification. They are intensely focused, all year long, on managing our rigorous audit schedule as well as all of the testing and reporting that is necessary to achieve GFSI/GLOBAL G.A.P. certification -- a level of certification not many farms are able to achieve.

The GLOBAL G.A.P. certification allows us to sell anywhere in the world and it ensures a daily practice of specific hygiene is followed. Food safety is at the forefront of our farming business and we are committed to the program.
