Our Farm is Our Family
Not a day goes by that we don’t appreciate how fortunate we are to be successful doing what we truly love—sustainably growing fresh onions and healthy organic produce for people to enjoy.
When David began farming on 100 acres back in 1979, it was impossible to envision the technologically advanced, multigenerational, 7,000+ acre farm that it is today.
Despite our size, we’re still a family-owned and operated farm, not a collective of independent farms, and we take a passionate, hands-on approach to every aspect of growing and marketing our premium and organic onions, garlic, shallots and cipollinis. Between our farms in Nevada and California, we responsibly grow over 550 million pounds of onions all year around.
It’s very much appreciated to know we can have faith in the families we entrust our well being and healthy living to. The word is out with my friends and family whose label to look for when shopping for the thing we can’t do without -- Onions! Thank you again for your good work. -- C. Harris
Growing Community
As our family farm has grown so has our commitment to our community. Our onion operation, Peri & Sons Farms and our vegetable operation, Nevada Fresh Pak, together represent the largest private employer in Lyon County. Currently we support over 400 full-time diverse positions including specialists in the areas of agricultural science, engineering, manufacturing, and business and information technology. The company also supports a seasonal work force of over 2,100 full-time employees. Based on recent economic impact studies, the company’s direct and indirect impact on the economy in Northern Nevada now exceeds $200 million.
