Our Common Future
Sustainability is far from being a new concept, and endeavors for people to co-exist on Earth over a long time. Way before it was a popular thing to do, the Peri family naturally practiced sustainable farming. In fact, in 1967 David Peri’s father, Joseph Peri, and his uncle, James Peri, earned Conservationist of the Year, an award for using their farmland properly and establishing conservation practices.
Peri & Sons Farms has been a Certified Sustainable farm operation (SCS Global) since 2016. We have achieved this by participating in a rigorous random-audit program that requires daily dedication at every level of the farm’s operation ─ from those managing the business to those working the ground.
There is no one big green measure. It’s hundreds of measures. Big and little innovations and improvements being implemented year after year to increase efficiency, reduce costs, reduce waste, conserve, and replenish resources, improve environments, empower people, and enhance community.
Sustainability is an ever-evolving process, based on the holistic principle to adapt, persevere, and thrive. That’s what we are doing.
