Living Good

Little Bulbs, Big Benefit

The lack of available or affordable childcare in our local community, prompted the Peri’s to take a pioneering step, back in 2013, by opening its first “Little Bulbs” daycare center.

It’s been a win all around. Employees no longer experience the career setbacks, or reduction in family income, that can happen when parents are forced to choose between their job and caring for their children. The farm benefits with employee retention and dedication. The program has been so successful that Peri & Sons Farms now has three “Little Bulb’s” daycare centers.

Thank you so much for your support of River Camp Firebaugh. This year we were able to provide amazing new experiences (like meeting a reticulated pyton) for our campers. We truly couldn’t do it without you. -- Molly Schnur-Salimbenz, River Camp Firebaugh & Finn Telles, Director of Business Development

Working on Well-Being

Dr. John Barona

Caring about our people means making sure they have the support and tools they need to be successful in their work. Several years ago, Pamela Peri recognized that team members were experiencing a diverse range of stressors that were negatively impacting their well-being. Thinking outside the box, the farm launched a trailblazing program, offering free, confidential counseling, provided by Dr. John Barona, a National Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, for all employees and their immediate family.

Well-being goes beyond being physically healthy, encompassing our physical, mental, and emotional health, as well as our relationships and social connections. Total well-being allows us to enjoy our lives, fully participate in the work and activities we enjoy, and be there for the people we care about. That’s a state of wellness worth sustaining.
